Obituary of Carrie Anne King Davis
Carrie Anne King Davis, 37, beloved daughter of Carol W. King of Winston-Salem, NC and Daryl and Annette King of Woodbridge, VA went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 20, 2019 in Winston-Salem, NC. Carrie is survived by her children Samantha Ferguson of Colorado and Natalie and Ashlynne Davis of Clemmons, NC and her siblings Eric King of San Antonio, TX, Andrea Moxley of Woodbridge, VA, Tiana Noakes of Atlanta, GA and Stephanie Noakes of Woodbridge, VA. Carrie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Charles and Mildred King of Winston-Salem, NC and maternal grandparents June and Jessie Williams of Pinnacle, NC.
Carrie was born in West Berlin Germany on September 29, 1981, but lived most of her life in Colorado Springs, CO. She graduated from Lewis-Palmer High School in Monument, CO, where her favorite class was chorus. Her joy of singing carried over into her worship at Pikes Peak Christian Church in CO. Carrie's name means Song of Joy and how she loved to sing! Carrie worked as a waitress and a certified nurses assistant. Most recently Carrie aspired to be a drug and alcohol counselor. Carrie had a beautiful smile for everyone and accepted people openly and with love. She cherished her children more than words can say. Carrie had a true love for people who were struggling in their lives as she did herself at times. Her generosity to the downtrodden was amazing!
A memorial service for Carrie will be held at Clemmons First Baptist Church on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at 1:30PM. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made in Carrie's name to Samaritan Services in Winston-Salem or Insight Human Services Inc. of Winston-Salem.
