Obituary of Mildred Eudene Spry

Mildred Eudene Spry, 92, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mildred was born August 8, 1926 in Advance, NC; the eldest daughter of Authur Lee and Grace Johnson Spry. She is preceded in death by her parents and younger sister, Pauline. Surviving her is one sister, Brenda Burton (Ken) of Advance; and three brothers: Bob Spry (Janie) and Norman Spry (Louise) of Sheffield, NC; and Doug Spry (Joan) of Advance, NC. Mildred had several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and many cousins. Mildred was proudly employed with Dixie Furniture in Lexington, NC as a final inspector and retired after 53 years.She enjoyed traveling, baking delicious desserts, search-a-word puzzles, and spending time with friends and family. Interment will be held January 5, 2019 at Advance United Methodist Church cemetery at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Larry Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends afterwards in the Fellowship Hall until 4:00 P.M. Mildred's family would like to thank the staff of Bermuda Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and the ICU and Palliative Care units at Forsyth Medical Center for their care.
