We lived 2 doors down from Harry for the past 20 years until he moved to Carolina Estates. We so enjoyed his friendship.
My husband, Larry and Harry loved to pick with each other. They were both blessed with a quick wit. A few years back when Harry gave up driving, he would call Larry to take him grocery shopping. Off they would go to the local Harris Teeter. One of the cashier's nicknamed them Statler and Waldorf from Sesame Street. Harry would say, " get your card out Larry" and Larry would say, " I forgot my wallet Harry." Larry had lunch with Harry on his birthday this year. Larry took a birthday card to Harry that had Waldorf and Statler pictured on the outside. Inside the card, we all had signed it, including Fred, the cashier. Harry laughed and said the card was a keeper.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Harry's family and friends. As for us we're going to remember the good times spent with our friend.

My heartfelt condolences go to the Pappas family from Kathy and Margie Haines. I lived across the street from Harry twice in my life and so enjoyed at Hamilton Village talking to him while he was walking his dog. He will be missed! Prayers for your family.
