Obituary of Dale Roediger
Dale “Momo” Roediger died peacefully at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, Monday, May 18, 2020, after a long illness. Born in Long Island NY April 10, 1953 to William and Gerry Hopley, Dale was raised in Winston Salem, NC. She was loved by many friends throughout the years and was known for her huge heart and always wanting to make people laugh.
Dale graduated from Mount Tabor High School. She worked at Medical Park Hospital and later retired from USAirways with 25 years of service. In retirement, she volunteered at Trellis Supportive Care at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She always enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, fishing, gardening, and playing with her four legged babies Ruby and Rocksy.
Dale leaves behind two daughters, Heidi (Jack) College, Starr (Anthony) Dees; six grandchildren – Peyton (Matthew) Rollins, Parker Riddle, Riley and Jackson College, and Kennedy Dees; a best friend of over sixty years, Kathy Ferguson; “daughter” Brooke Brogdon; several nieces and a nephew; and many dear friends.
From the very start when she signed up with Palliative Care, the support has been amazing, and we could not have walked this road without you; Thank you Jennifer Price and the West Home Care Team, Triage Team, Pharmacy, the couriers that delivered supplies, KBR nurses, CNA’s, the compassionate doctors, Rennie, Jodie, Nakeia, Carol in Grief Counseling, Bonnie for bringing flowers, Christine in the Kitchen and the list goes on. Everyone at Trellis made this journey much easier on my mom and family.
