Obituary of Karen Denise Long

Karen Long, 59, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019 at Universal Healthcare of King, NC. Karen was born on April 21, 1960 in Forsyth County to the late Elwood and Sarah Long (Sparks). Karen loved to listen to music, and loved fashion too. One of her favorite foods was fried squash, for when she was young she would often ask her mom to fry some squash. She would get so excited about even the simple things of life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marie Ball, and brother-in-law Darrel Ball.  Karen is survived by her siblings Dale Long (Phyllis), and Brenda Everhart (Ronnie), and three nieces: Tiffany Perrone (Nick), Fancie Everhart, Michelle Ball, and two nephews, Jeremy Long and Christopher Everhart (Joclyn), and lots of great nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 7:00 pm at Faith City Peacehaven Church of God, 525 North Peace Haven Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
