Obituary of Joseph Terry Fish

Joseph Terry Fish, born in Haywood County October 31, 1948, passed away June 30, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center after a battle with Kidney Disease.

Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Joyce Middleton Fish, son Matt Fish of High Point, and daughter Molly Fish of Winston Salem, his mother Edith Fish of Florida, and 2 sisters, Vickie Owens and Karen Belk, both of Alabama. He was preceded in death by his father, Orville Fish. 

After graduating from Tuscola in 1967, he joined the US Navy where he served for 4 years.  Upon returning home from the service, he attended Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College earning an Associates in Machining, Tool & Die. 

Terry had a great love for family & enjoyed rescuing animals.  He was a core volunteer at Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation (AARF) on the dog team and loved his time spent with his AARF family. He retired from working as a Master Mechanic at Duracell in Lexington, NC.

He was an avid Carolina Panthers fan who loved attending the home games with his son for the past 15 years. He loved lake fishing before the decline of his health.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 12, 2019 @ 6:00 pm at the AARF facility, 311 Harvey St. Winston Salem, NC.  As the celebration will be outdoors, please dress comfortably and casually.
