Obituary of Vonnie Charles Brown

With great sadness we share that V. Charles Brown, 73, died on Sunday night at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. He was born in Norfolk, VA on November 2, 1944 to Preston F. and Wilma S. Brown, who preceded him in death. His twin brother Larry Brown also predeceased him. 

He graduated from North Forsyth in 1964 and served in the US Army. He retired from Atlantic Coastal Corporation. He was a member of Northwest Baptist Church. He also retired from the Mt. Tabor Fire & Rescue Department; serving with Station 20, which was his passion.

His is survived by his wife of 49 years, Madgelee; son, Matthew; daughter, Meredith (Mati); grandchildren Kaleb, Piper and Porter; sister, Linda Schneider (Sid), and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Northwest Baptist Church, 407 Petree Road. On Saturday August 4, 2018 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm.
