My uncle was one of the most respected men I’ve ever known. Intelligent, wise, passionate, hard-working, diligent, loving, caring, thoughtful and reflective, I will always remember his smile, his laugh, his jumpsuits and the smell of pipe tobacco as he rested in his chair on Larkfield when I was young. I looked up to this man with more reverence than my father and sought his advice often. I will truly miss his kindness and the fact that I felt, when I had his attention, he cared and that I mattered. I love you, Uncle! Miss you but know I’ll see you again!
