Obituary of Donna Marie Mackie

Donna Mackie of Kernersville, NC passed at the age of 72 on April 16, 2019 while resting peacefully at Trellis Hospice Care Winston-Salem, NC. Donna was born December 4, 1946 in Haverhill, MA to parents Martin and Doris Howard. Donna was married on February 6, 1965 at Holy Angels church in Plaistow, NH to her High School and lifelong love James Mackie for almost 40 years until he passed in 2002.

Donna graduated from Pinkerton Academy in 1964. She enjoyed poetry, trivia, old movies, genealogy, her favorite singer Phillip Phillips and of course ALL professional sports team from New England but most of all her beloved New England Patriots.

Donna is survived by many of her very large family, her mother Doris Howard, brothers Danny (Dee) Howard, Jimmy (Lynne) Howard and sister Kathy (Gus) Collin.

Donna is also survived by her four children Vickie (Kyle) Murdock, Jim (Patty) Mackie, Mike (Stacia) Mackie and Clint Mackie. Additionally she is survived by her 17 Grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren along with her lifelong friend Pat True.

Plans are being finalized for a Service in New Hampshire the weekend of May 18 / 19 along with a separate service in the mid-west the weekend of May 11/12 for all of her friends and family who may not be able to make the service in New Hampshire.

                                                   God took you for some unknown reason,
