Obituary of Nathan Thomas Smith
Danbury – Mr. Nathan Thomas Smith, 61 died, Monday March 4, 2019 at Trellis Supportive Care. He was born November 23, 1957 to the late Raymond T. and Dorothy Allen Smith. In addition to his parents, his brother Allen Smith and father in- law Corbert Montgomery preceded him in death. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Angie Smith, three children Samuel, Dean, and Renesmee. He is also survived by three sisters, Harriett Sizemore, Starr Wood (Steve), Rose Ann Throckmorton, and one brother Lawrence Smith (Ruth). Mother in law Tammy Hurley (Thomas), Grandparent’s in-law David (Lorene) Sizemore. A very special brother in-law Brandon Montgomery and two sister in-laws Brandi Ellison and Nikki Montgomery. And several special nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Nathan was employed by Stokes Reynolds Memorial Hospital for 36 years as a Maintinence and Engineering Manager. Nathan enjoyed music, playing the guitar, riding his John Deere, shooting pellet guns and watching his children play. Family will receive friends March 16th at 1pm at Rosebud Christian Church, Walnut Cove, NC with A celebration of life service to follow at 2pm. A reception will follow in the church’s fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the donor’s choice.
