Obituary of Thomas Edward Saunders

Thomas (Shorty) Edward Saunders, 87,  son of the late Luther and Doretha Saunders, died 03/06/2019 at Novant Forsyth Medical Center. Shorty was preceeded in death by his devoted, loving wife of 59 years, Betty Ray (Slater) Saunders, 2 brothers and 3 sisters (Junior Saunders, Jim Saunders, Jesse Myers, Blanche Weatherman and Betty Goodbow.) He is survived by his son, Edward Saunders (Karen) of Mesa, AZ, daughter Debi Brown of Boonville, NC., grandson Shane Saunders (Erica) of Peoria, AZ, great grandchildren Lily and Reid, sisters Zena Fleming of East Bend and Shirley McIntosh and Patti Ratledge (Tim) of Yadkinville, NC.  Per Shorty's request, no services will be held.
