Obituary of Harrison McKinley Anderson, III

Mr. Harrison McKinley Anderson III, 64, I, Harrison McKinley Anderson III, known to many as "Hap", born to Harrison Anderson Jr. (Andy), and Barbara Watkins Anderson, March 4, 1954 in Wilkes County NC, departed my earthly body, December 29, 2018. I worked as a Realtor with Park Place Real Estate the last few years of my life. A profession I truly loved. I was preceded in death by my father Harrison Anderson Jr. and surrogate son Matthew L. Berry. I am survived by my faithful and loving wife Robin Anderson. My mother Barbara Anderson, sister Debbie Gammons, brother-in-law Dwight Gammons and best buddy Logan Gammons. Also, my Step Children, Walter Baker and Chloe Baker and Mother in Law Sylvia Powell. Special thanks to all my family, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Especially Cousin Kay, and to many faithful friends for all your prayers and support during my battle with ALS. I have been truly Blessed... A special thanks to our Ardmore United Methodist Church family. A very special thanks also to the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center ALS Clinic and the ALS Association of North Carolina. We appreciate everything you have done for us. I appreciate and thank everyone who participated in the Walks to Defeat ALS. It has been very humbling to see your support. God always heals... Sometimes it is through death. But now, I am with my Lord and Savior in Heaven. A Memorial Service/ Celebration of Life will be held Sunday February 10 at 2 pm, Ardmore United Methodist Church, 630 S. Hawthorne Road. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Methodist Men, in care of Ardmore United Methodist Church, 630 S. Hawthorne Rd. , Winston Salem, NC 27103. A very special thank you to Hospice "Trellis Support", Nurse Nancy, Nurse Carrie, Social Worker Adam, HOF Wendy Hicks , Nurse Maddy , Dr Corbett, and John Clitherow, and CNA Chelle, as well as many others. You treated my husband with love and kindness. Thank you... Thank you to our 5 Angels... CNAs who are like family.. Brea Watson, you were our first CNA. Thank you for the love you showed Harrison. Kristi Sheffield, Anna Kirkman, Destiny West and Tammy Crawford.... I don't know what we would have done without you. You treated Harrison with such love and kindness. You are family now. Thank you! Romans 12:12...Be joyful in hope, Patient in Affliction, faithful in prayer.
