Eva Holleman

Obituary of Eva Carolyn Holleman

Eva Carolyn Holleman; your children rise up and call you blessed even as your absence from the body this 19th day of December 2018 brings you into the immediate presence of The Lord your God. At age 93 years and 11 months you lived out a life of celibacy and service to Christ and others while mothering a younger sister Joan Miller and her children Kathy, Joey, and Gary; in the home you all shared with Howard Miller, Joan's husband, who you loved like a brother. Over the years grandchildren and great-grandchildren came into your world while your mothering and loving instincts surrounded them all. Today you are reunited with your own mother and father, Florence Catherine, and Eugene Henry Holleman along with your beloved brothers John Spencer and Robert Joseph Holleman and of course brother-in-law Howard (Junne ) Miller. Your joyous homecoming leaves brothers Gene and Jack Holleman along with sister Joan with precious memories and the sure knowledge that they too shall meet you again one day again in the sky. To God be the Glory! A memorial service will be held Jan. 5, 2019 at Memorial Reformed Church, 236 Banner Ave., W-S. The Pastor William Campbell, Sr., and Associate Pastor Cynthia Williams presiding. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m with the service starting at 11:35 a.m. Carolyn will be buried following the service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Memorial Reformed Church or Hospice of Winston-Salem.
