Obituary of John Christopher Cain
John Christopher Cain, 56, shuffled off this mortal coil on October 1, 2018. John was born in Los Angeles, CA. He had a colorful career as a waiter and bartender, serving some of the finest restaurants in Los Angeles. In Winston-Salem, he made his mark on the Silver Moon Saloon and the The Diamondback Grill, taking his personal game show "Trivia with John Cain" with him everywhere he went. John was married to Stacey Layne on 10-4-14. He enjoyed plaid polyester, vintage furniture, live music, cool shades and bicycles. He was the consummate host, an avid reader and a distinctive dancer. John is survived by Leo Cain (father), Patricia Cain (mother), Scott Cain (brother), Stephanie Cain Belvel (sister), and other family and friends. A memorial service will be held on October 21, 2018 at 3 pm at the Millennium Center. John was a life force whose energy touched many people in Winston-Salem. His family extends heartfelt thanks to those in the community who affected John's life in many positive ways.
