Obituary of Anthony Quinn Springs

Anthony Quinn Springs, affectionately known to many as “Andy” was born on July 30, 1959, and fell asleep in death on Friday, April 16, 2021. A virtual Memorial Service will be held at 3:00PM Saturday, May 1, 2021 by the Winston-Salem Central Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Anthony married the love of his life, Virginia Noyola Springs on July 31, 2006. Together they built a solid foundation of love for each other that was felt by anyone in their presence and seen through their children. He enjoyed the benefits of being retired and loved to cook for his wife and family. He also loved to exercise and to go along with his home cooked meals, he enjoyed watching a good football game on Sunday. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Anthony’s life was centered around helping others and serving his God, Jehovah. Upon his baptism on March 12, 2017, Andy’s newfound love of people moved him to take his Christian ministry seriously. Despite his illness, his kind spirit, strong faith and warm smile could always be found greeting his spiritual brothers and sisters at the kingdom hall, out in the field ministry or more recently online with the Zoom meetings. Two of his favorite kingdom melodies are song #30 “My Father, My God and Friend”, and song #149 “A Victory Song.” Often a source of encouragement to many, one of Andy’s favorite scriptures was: Isaiah 41:10-”Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.” Anthony will greatly be missed and not forgotten by the Central Congregation in Winston-Salem, NC, as well as many other dear family and friends who loved him. Two things that Anthony looked forward to in God’s new world are: ● To reunite with his family ● To see his mother again A loving son, Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Garfield Ridgill, and Ruth Elizabeth Springs. A dear brother, he is survived by four siblings, two brothers, Arnold Springs, and Alfred Springs; two sisters, Pamela Williams, and Jennifer Springs. He also has three nephews, one niece, seven great nephews and three great nieces.
