Obituary of Alvin Lee Windsor

Alvin Lee Windsor, 66, passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 in Winston- Salem, NC. Graveside memorial service will be 2:00PM Wednesday April 28, 2021 at Forsyth Memorial Park, 3771 Yadkinville Rd. Winston-Salem, NC 27106. Reverend Rick Speas, of Old Town Baptist Church, will officiate. Alvin was born August 27, 1954 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Alvis Turner Windsor and Dorothy Johnson Windsor. Alvin was a graduate of North Forsyth High School 1972 and Piedmont Aerospace Institute in 1976. He was employed for many years at Piedmont Airlines, USAir and Twin Lakes Aviation. Survivors include his sister, Amy Windsor Graham and husband Thomas of Charlotte, NC; aunts, Marie Windsor of Winston Salem and Georgia Windsor of Hamptonville, NC; cousins, Vivian Barbee and husband Gary of Winston Salem and Tim Windsor and wife Tammy of Winston Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Old Town Baptist Church, 4386 Shattalon Dr. Winston-Salem, NC 27106. A special thanks to Dr. Dennis Egnatz and wife Barbara, Denise Hutchens, Jeanette Cochran, Jennifer Owings, John Nichols, Sandra McMonagale and everyone in the Old Pfafftown Road community for the love and care they gave to Alvin during his life and cancer treatments. Alvin was loved and will be missed by so many.
