Obituary of Colleen Richardson

Colleen Roudabush Richardson passed away April 11, 2021. A family service will be held at a later date. She was born June 20, 1946 to the late Agnes Davis and William Orlo Roudabush. Colleen is survived by her husband, Harold Richardson; sisters-in-laws, Kathryn Moore, Barbara Daugherty and Christine Matthews; cousins, Addison Davis, Melissa Ives, Vernon Davis, Lane Lauder, Drew Davis, Starr Davis, Ernie Roudabush, Harold Wyant, Iva Boyer, Lois Ickes, Sharon Crist, Bernie Eicher, Blaine Eicher, Randy Eicher, Elaine Corle and Pati Welch. Colleen graduated from Appalachian State University and received her Master’s in Counseling from Wake Forest University. She worked as a counselor at Forsyth Technical Community College for many years providing much needed career development assistance to many students. Prior to her career at FTCC, she worked at the Forsyth County Department of Social Services helping people to become foster parents. She was an avid reader of the Winston-Salem Journal, reviewing it page by page daily. Colleen loved to travel and visit historic neighborhoods. She especially enjoyed touring the older homes.
