Obituary of Joseph Chester Belmonte

Winston-Salem Joseph Chester Belmonte, 51, formerly of Torrington, CT, or as he would refer to himself as “Joe B” passed away on February 26, 2021. He was the son of Nancy Spring of Winsted and the late Joseph P. Belmonte, Jr. Joe is survived by his daughter, Jocelyn Belmonte of Torrington and granddaughter, Emma; sisters, Florence Thibault and husband Tim of Torrington, Kim Belmonte of Winston-Salem, NC, and Gidget Peck and husband Randall of Plainville, CT. He is also survived by nieces, Ashleigh Thibault, Lauren Thibault, Madison Peck, Gillien Peck, Hannah Peck; great-nieces, Isabella Penney, Gabriella Penney, Natalie Norris and great-nephews, Wyatt Norris and Ethan Penney. Joe enjoyed the Boston Red Sox, UConn Huskies and his dog Tuck. He loved being around people and was the life of most parties. He could strike up a conversation or make friends with anyone. He could put a smile on your face with his quirky ways/words. He had an infectious laugh and always was there to lend a hand to someone in need. The family would like to thank the Wake Forest Baptist Hospital Staff and Hospice team for the compassion and care that was shown to Joe. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family
