Obituary of Richard Louis Cusato

Richard Louis Cusato, 82, peacefully passed away at home on January 26, 2021. He was born in Boston, MA on March 26, 1938 to the late Rachel Loud and Crescenzo Cusato. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Irene Rita (Rathburn) Cusato, and his 3 daughters, Michele Cusato, Kimberly Cusato and Gina Cusato-O’Neal (Shane). He was “Papa” to 5 grandchildren; Aaron and Maria Dziubinski, Lucas O’Neal, and David and Adam Pearson. He was a graduate of Boston Latin School and Northeastern University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He retired from Dell Computer and spent his golden years travelling the world with his lovely spouse. His retirement was highlighted by many moments on the golf course with his grandchildren and bowling with a local team. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved the Boston Red Sox. He also loved to cook and his family specialties included eggplant parmesan and escarole soup. The family is planning a small private service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Amedisys Hospice Care in his honor.
