Obituary of James Albert Hobbs

James “Jim” Albert Hobbs passed away December 30, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Health Center after a battle with dementia and COVID. Jim was born June 14, 1939 in Washington DC. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara. Jim was a beloved teacher, mentor, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his son Darryl (and family), two granddaughters, and his brother Ray. We are grateful for the help and care of Home Again (especially Ms. Tranetta), Forest Heights Senior Living Center, and the Trellis Hospice team. No funeral arrangements have been made at this time. Memorials in Jim's honor can be made to the charity of the donor's choice, AARF, or the NC School of the Arts.
