Obituary of Mary Gaddy Hairston

Ms. Mary Gaddey Hairston, 80, died peacefully at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home on July 12, 2018. Mary Hairston was born on April 10, 1938 in Wadesboro, NC. She is survived by one sister, Catherine Madden of NY; stepdaughter, Robin Gail Powell-Stimpson (Robert); stepson, Bobby Gene Powell; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Kelly Hairston; her parents, James and Jeannie B. Gaddy; and nine siblings. While she worked secularly as a home health aide, she considered her volunteer work as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, since 1968, as her true career. Her memorial is scheduled for July 28, 2018 at 3:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 3799 Old Lexington Road, Winston-Salem, NC. All are welcome to attend.
