Obituary of Louise Curry Michael

Louise Curry Michael, born August 30, 1950, passed suddenly July 17, 2020 at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00PM Saturday August 8, 2020 at Sonlight Missionary Baptist Church, 1588 Pineridge Rd. Lexington, NC. This service will celebrate the lives of Louise and her brother, Hillard Curry, who died on July 6, 2020. Louise is predeceased by her parents, Mary Elizabeth Nifong and Russell Franklin Curry; first husband, Darrell Walser; son, Nolan Michael; sister, Marie Curry Michael and brothers, Tex Curry and Hillard Curry. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Gerald Michael; daughters, Anissa Walser, Tonya Walser, Dana Michael, Tracy Michael; son, Randy Michael; sister, Nancy Yarborough; niece, Terri Kiger; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members and friends. Louise was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church. She worked as the Deli Manager at Harris Teeter Grocery Store for over 20 years. She was a woman of great love and strength who fought hard until her death to live life to the fullest. Louise was so loved by those she knew, and she made sure her family felt every ounce of love she had in her heart for them. Anyone who wishes to speak of their memories of Louise and/or Hillard at the memorial service would be a blessing to the family and most welcome.
