Obituary of Minnie Lee Leak Polite

Minnie Lee Leak-Polite 11-29-1936- Sunrise 05-20-2020- Sunset Minnie Lee Leak-Polite, age 83, was born to the late Sing Sturdivant Leak and the late Inez Little Leak in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on November 29, 1936. Our beloved mother went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 20, 2020 at Accordius Health of Clemmons. Minnie was a former loss prevention officer for Thalhimers Dept Store and Zayre Dept Store. She was blessed to have 10 siblings, 3 sisters and 7 brothers, (4 brothers, 2 sisters) preceded her in death. She was the widow of the late Christopher Zelic Polite and was preceded in death by one son, Bernard Polite (March 12, 2012). Our mother was an amazing woman that loved to decorate her home, play bingo, sing, and discuss politics. She is survived by Sandra Polite-Parks (Edward) of Baltimore M.D., Christopher Polite (Shelia), Christine Polite-Small of Wake Forest N.C., Pamela Moore (Edward), Delmar Polite, and her loving caregiver Delisa Polite-Wilks (Tim), 2 daughters-in-law, Karen Polite and Esther Polite of Winston-Salem N.C.; sister, Annie Mason; 3 brothers, Elder James Leak (Barbara), Robert Leak, and Rev. Gwathney Leak and a host of grand, great grand, and great-great grandchildren. A special thanks to the staff of Accordius Health of Clemmons N.C., Senior Services of Winston-Salem N.C., Dannialle and Fannialle Dieu, as well as Shannon Carlton for their loving care of our mother, Meals on Wheels of Winston-Salem N.C., and Granville Place Apts.
