Obituary of George P. Squires

George P. Squires, 74, of King, NC passed away on April 14, 2020 after a very short diagnosis of mesothelioma. George was born in Mottville, NY to Evelyn and Ernest Squires. George loved playing the guitar, darts (one eye), and pitch (quarter a point!) Most of all, he loved his famly that was by his side every day. George leaves behind a daughter, Melanie (Phil) Whaley; grandchildren, Michele (Ricky) Whaley and Ashley (Michael) Whaley; great-grandchildren, Alana, Nicholas, and Ricky Jr. and two grandchildren due this summer, Brayden and Anorah. He also leaves behind siblings, Ernest, Fred, Tick, Carl, Evelena, Dorothy and close family members; Suzanne Virginia, Bobby Fragoman, Dawn Madlin, Robin Henderson, larry Madlin and Brandy Hardy; multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. He was predeceased by his siblings, Jackie, Frank, Mary, Eddie, and Barbara. George was loved by his family so much and they will deeply miss his jokes, smile, and laughter. A celebration of his life will be held at his daughters' home in King, NC at a later date. "Forever daddy's girl, I use to be his angel, now he's mine"
