Obituary of Bobby Gray Smith

Mr. Bobby Gray Smith, 84, of King passed away 8/6/18 surrounded by family and friends in his home. Bob was born on March 31, 1934 in Forsyth County, NC, the son of Thomas F (Happy) Smith and Cassie Preston Smith. He is survived by his wife of sixty years Gaye and two sons Scott Alexander Smith from New Orleans and Stephen Gray Smith (Kate) from Atlanta, and grandson Elijah Gray Smith. Other survivors include sister Betty Ernst and brother Leroy Smith (Lisa) and sisters-in-law Ann Smith and Louise Smith. Bob was preceded in death by his brothers; Jack Smith, James Smith, Bill Smith and sister Peggy Blevins. He was co-owner and operator of Ardmore Barber shop for 40 years. He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in King where a memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:30 pm with memorial services to follow, beginning at 7 pm. Rev. Dr. Bart Milleson and Rev. Dr. Maria Kane will deliver the service.
