Obituary of Ronnie Jones

Mr. Ronald "Ronnie" Clyde Jones 74, was called to his heavenly home on Friday, December 20, 2019. He was born in Hamtramck, Michigan on November 23, 1945 to the late Clyde Clarence Jones, Jr and Mildred Rzepka Jones. He worked for Macy's, Georgia World Congress Center and retired from Gwinnett County Public Schools. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Susan Joyner Jones; Son, Jeffrey Lee Jones (Lauren) of Winston-Salem and his pride and joy his granddaughters, Lily Kate and Ellie Jane Jones; Sister Sharon (Tom) Jones Selke of Macomb Township of Michigan and special Nephew, Jeffrey Joe Jones of Harrison Township of Michigan. Loving Aunt, Marilyn Brownlee of Georgia, special cousin Leigh Ann Mckay of Marietta,Georgia; sister in law B.J. (Ken) Brown of Hickory; Nieces Sarah (Chris) Bohlman of Statesville and Stacy (Patrick) Seitz of Charlotte, life long best friend, “Beatle” Bill Moore of Stone Mountain, Georgia and many other special extended family members and friends. Our family would like to also thank special friends and neighbors Mary and Lisa Mickey and Richard and Patty Pate. Ronnie loved his family, friends, Georgia Bulldogs, the beach, swimming with his granddaughters and was a talented musician for most of his life. He loved his church, Ardmore United Methodist, where he played in the praise band. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to Ardmore Methodist Food Pantry. A celebration of life service will be Saturday, January 4 at 11am at Ardmore United Methodist Church in the Chapel.
