Obituary of Lance E. Dupre
Lance E. Dupre, 77, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away Friday November 29, 2019 in the loving home of his daughter Jillian Bolyard and family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Worcester County, Massachusetts on July 29, 1942 to the late Edmond and Yvonne Dupre.
He is survived by his daughters Jillian Dupre Bolyard and husband Daniel, Kari Dupre Cottingham, Jacqueline Dupre, Robin M. Jewell, sister Claudette Alfego, niece Elise Wagner all of Massachusetts, 12 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
Lance lived life in the fast lane, from drag racing, dancing, traveling, golfing, and was the former successful business owner of Dupre Auto Sales, Inc. Lance Dupre’s legacy consisted of giving back with any opportunity he had to do so through the rooms of Alcoholics Anonymous. Lance became sober in 1989 and changed countless lives throughout his 30 years of sobriety.
He’d like to leave behind this “It only takes one person, one day, one moment of your time to help someone in need, which may change their life forever. The ripple affect is amazing!” Lance loved and donated to many organizations with his favorite being St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
An intimate gathering for family and friends will be held December 11, 2019 from 6:00-7:30 pm at the home of his daughter Jillian Bolyard at 1910 Darwick Rd. Winston Salem, NC.
In Lieu of flowers, Lance would love nothing more than for donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
