Priscilla Burdi

Obituary of Priscilla Burdi

Priscilla Burdi, 76, went home to be with the Lord on October 9,
2019. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born on
April 4, 1943 in Jersey City, NJ the daughter of Nicholas and Louise (both
predeceased).

Priscilla graduated from Union Hill High School, class of 1961. Following
graduation, she went on to beauty college to become a cosmetologist for over
thirty years.

She was a beautiful soul inside and out. She loved her family deeply and her
grandchildren were her heart. She was so proud of them. To her children, she
was their mom, their dad, their friend, their biggest supporter and defender. Not
only was she loved by her own family, but also by her family through marriage.
She was a remarkable foster mother who opened her home and heart to
numerous children for over twenty years.  It brought her great joy to spend time
with her foster children and with her pets who were precious to her as well.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Austin and her
mother-in- law, Mary Burdi, with whom she shared a special bond. Priscilla is
survived by a son, Steven A. Burdi, Jr., of Clemmons; daughter Stacey
Westmoreland and her husband Donald of Clemmons and her grandchildren
Morgan Nicole Westmoreland and Joshua Ryan Westmoreland. She is also
survived by her adopted children Tyler Joseph Burdi and Christopher James Burdi
as well as Richard F. Burdi of Ridgefield NJ who was her brother-in-law and caring
friend throughout the years.
