Obituary of Danny Leggette Manuel

Danny Manuel, 70, died peacefully in his home on July 27, 2018 after a long fight against Parkinson's Disease. Danny was a long-term resident of the Kernersville area and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. Danny served two tours during the Vietnam War and retired from the service in 2000. Danny loved boxing, cooking, and animals. He will be remembered for his sarcastic sense of humor and compassion for others. Danny is survived by his loving wife Irma, daughter Grisel, sons Jorge and Tyrus and a large extended family that will miss him deeply. Services will be held at Salisbury National Cemetery on Tuesday, August 7 at 1pm with a reception following at the family's home. In lieu of cards or flowers, friends and family are requested to make a donation to help the fight against Parkinson's Disease.
